Kathryn’s insurance recovery practice centers on representing corporate policyholders in complex coverage disputes, with particular depth in long-tail environmental liability claims under commercial general liability (CGL) and pollution legal liability policies. Her experience includes matters involving emerging contaminants such as PFAS, as well as claims under errors and omissions (E&O), directors and officers (D&O), fiduciary, crime, ocean cargo, and employment practices liability policies. She also has experience negotiating and litigating insurance coverage under representations and warranties insurance policies.

In commercial litigation matters, Kathryn has significant experience in bid protest disputes arising from state and local government contract awards. She has both pursued and defended bid protests on behalf of clients across multiple industries, from initial filing and discovery through appeal hearings. She additionally counsels clients through all stages of mediation and claim resolution, including negotiating and drafting settlement agreements.

During law school, Kathryn completed training and state certification to serve as a mediator for community members in need of legal aid. In this capacity, she conducted court-ordered mediations in Indiana and Michigan, facilitating resolutions in family law matters including guardianship, child support, custody, and property disputes.
