As a summer associate with Barnes & Thornburg in Chicago, Julia supported litigation teams with legal research, discovery, and motion drafting across multiple industries. She also served as a judicial intern to the Hon. John Robert Blakey and the Hon. Charles P. Kocoras of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. In those roles she conducted complex legal research and assisted with drafting opinions and orders. In law school, Julia participated in the First Amendment Clinic and the Veterans Clinic, where she gained practical litigation experience by drafting written discovery, developing case facts, and engaging directly with clients.
