As a litigator, Josh has prosecuted and defended cases involving breach of contract and business torts, such as fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference, and theft of trade secrets. In doing so, Josh has represented clients across industries, including media and entertainment, healthcare and life sciences, real estate, and hospitality.
Josh has experience in each phase of litigation, from pleadings, fact and expert discovery, and motion practice to mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
In addition to his litigation practice, Josh has counseled senior management and directors on corporate governance; prepared shareholder and board resolutions; and drafted various agreements, including confidentiality, payment, consulting, and promissory note agreements.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Josh worked at two high-end litigation boutiques in Dallas and New York City, and before law school, as an English teacher at a college in Chengdu, China.
