Jeffery Gilbertson brings more than three decades of nursing and forensic investigation experience to his work as a nurse paralegal, supporting attorneys with medical record review, case analysis and trial preparation in complex litigation matters. He is a Nurse Paralegal focusing on defense medical-legal case management in matters involving allegations against medical providers and insurance liability claims, preparing detailed summaries and written analyses of medical records with recommendations that support attorneys’ case strategy and resolution.
Jeffery has spent much of his career at the intersection of nursing and the law, supporting litigation teams with the review, analysis and summary of medical records in matters involving injury allegations against medical providers and insurers. He evaluates mechanisms of injury, assesses prior medical history, and prepares written analyses that assist attorneys with case mitigation and resolution.
Earlier in his career, Jeffery served as a county deputy medical examiner, investigating death scenes and cause-and-manner-of-death determinations, coordinating with law enforcement and forensic pathologists, and consulting on trial preparation. He also brings direct clinical nursing experience across emergency, perioperative and pediatric intensive care settings, giving him firsthand insight into patient care, medical documentation and standard-of-care issues that inform his litigation support work.
