Nurse Paralegal

Heather Freudenberger is a doctor of nursing practice, nurse paralegal, and legal nurse consultant with over 18 years of nursing experience, including emergency nursing and nursing leadership. Heather transitioned from a hospital setting in 2020 and has been working in the legal field since then. She provides attorneys with medical record review and analysis, medical chronologies, and professional nursing opinions on injury mechanisms and causation across complex litigation matters, including class action torts.

Heather supports settlement and litigation teams by profiling plaintiffs’ allegations and injuries to inform settlement evaluations, developing medical chronologies and record summaries, and conducting investigative research on injuries and treatments. She correlates prior conditions with current complaints and translates clinical findings into clear, non-medical explanations for attorneys and clients.

Her clinical background includes 14 years of emergency nursing and four years of nursing leadership, serving as an emergency services manager, house supervisor, and charge nurse in high-volume emergency departments, where she managed life-sustaining care for patients experiencing cardiac and respiratory failure, trauma, overdose, and infectious diseases.
