The Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) has selected Juanita DeLoach, a partner in Barnes & Thornburg’s Dallas office, to participate in its prestigious 2024 Sources of Success (SOS) cohort.
DeLoach is one of 33 attorneys from legal departments and law firms across the U.S. named to this year’s highly competitive professional development program. SOS is geared for high-potential talent and designed to help mid-career attorneys excel as leaders within their organizations.
DeLoach is an intellectual property litigator who advises on safeguarding and protecting IP rights through trademarks and patents, patent and trade secret litigation, and inter partes review proceedings. She holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and worked as a process engineer before becoming a lawyer. Her frontline experience as an engineer allows her to understand client challenges from their distinct perspective, an advantage to those she serves across many technological disciplines.
For over 27 years, MCCA has championed diversity in the legal profession through industry-shaping publications, research, training, pipeline initiatives and curated events. MCCA serves as “the preeminent voice on diversity, equity, and inclusion from the counsel’s office to the C-suite and across corporate America.”
