Barnes & Thornburg Welcomes New Attorneys and Legal Professionals

Barnes & Thornburg has added labor and employment, corporate, general counsel, healthcare, litigation, and intellectual property attorneys and legal professionals to its Atlanta, Chicago, Indianapolis, New Jersey and Washington, D.C., offices.

An associate in the Washington, D.C., office, Adam T. Calandra assists clients with complex labor and employment matters. He counsels clients on matters related to employee benefits. Calandra earned his LL.M. in taxation from Georgetown University in 2023, his J.D. from American University in 2017, his M.B.A. from Canisius University in 2014 and his B.S. in marketing from Canisius University in 2012.

As a business transaction advisor in the Chicago office, Philipp Ersfeld supports the firm’s European practice group. Ersfeld advises on a broad range of domestic and international corporate and transactional matters, such as mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures, corporate restructurings and other corporate transactions. He earned a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Business and Law from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, his LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and a Wharton Business and Law Certificate from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He earned his Second State Examination in Law from the Higher Regional Court of Koblenz, Germany, his First State Examination in Law from the University of Trier, Germany, and Erasmus from the University of Seville in 2010.

Madeline Rismiller, a paralegal in the Atlanta office, works with immigration attorneys and paralegals to provide assistance tailored to a client’s unique needs. Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Madeline served as a business immigration paralegal and assistant immigration paralegal.

An immigration specialist in the Chicago office, Luis Rodriguez assists the Immigration and Global Mobility team and their clients with visa and other immigration application processes and procedures. He supports client intake, case initiation and data management. He earned his B.A. in psychology from Dartmouth College in 2020.

Dustin J. Stauffer, a conflicts attorney in the Atlanta office, advises firm leadership and attorneys on potential conflicts and compliance issues. He performs complex conflict analysis and conflict resolutions and matter engagement documentation. Stauffer earned his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law in 2017, his B.A. from the University of South Florida in 2012 and his A.A. from Hillsborough Community College in 2010.

An associate in the Washington, D.C., office, Kelsey Vincent focuses her practice on advising providers and hospitals on a wide variety of healthcare matters, including government investigations and claims. She earned her J.D. from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law in 2020 and her B.A. from the University of Mary Washington in 2017.

Aaron Wesson, an associate in the Washington, D.C., office, focuses his practice in the areas of white collar criminal defense, antitrust, corporate compliance, and product liability, along with other areas of commercial litigation. He earned his J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2021 and his B.A. from West Texas A&M University in 2018.

An associate in the New Jersey office, Marquis Whitney concentrates his practice on a wide range of litigation matters in federal and state courts, with a particular focus on New Jersey federal courts. He earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2017 and his B.A. in political science and history from Rutgers University in 2012.

Casey Wright, an associate in the Indianapolis office, focuses his practice on prosecuting U.S. and international trademark applications, searching and clearing trademarks, and intellectual property counseling, IP licensing, and trademark enforcement. He earned his J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2018 and his B.A. in biology from Wabash College in 2012.
