Regina Murphy Joins Barnes & Thornburg’s Expanding Delaware Office

WILMINGTON, DE. – Barnes & Thornburg announced today that Regina “Gigi” Murphy has joined the firm’s Intellectual Property Department as of counsel in the Delaware office.

Murphy is a litigator who focuses on patent infringement, copyright and trademark cases. She also has experience in trade secret and other complex commercial litigation matters. Murphy has represented companies in many different areas of technology, including medical devices, pharmaceutical drugs, information technology and genome engineering.

Murphy is a member of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Intellectual Property Section, International Association of Privacy Professionals, ABA Forum Committee on Communications Law and Delaware State Bar Association.

After earning her bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from St. Joseph’s University, Murphy earned her law degree cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania. After law school, Murphy clerked for Judge Walter K. Stapleton of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She is a former Foreign Service Officer and international business consultant for Philadelphia area exporters. Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Murphy was an associate with Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnel.
