ATLANTA – Barnes & Thornburg announced today that Lawrence Humphrey has joined the firm’s Corporate Department as a partner in the Atlanta office.
Humphrey is a transactional attorney with a focus on general commercial and operational contracts. With experience in technology, corporate and real estate transactions, Humphrey’s representative matters include software license agreements, equipment purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, real estate purchase and sales agreements, real estate financings, construction agreements, leases, telecommunications access agreements, sponsorship agreements, broadcast rights agreements, and employment and independent contractor agreements.

About Lawrence Humphrey
Humphrey was a partner at Wargo & French LLP and Dow Lohnes PLLC, where he represented clients in transactional, financing, real estate, intellectual property and employment matters. For nearly 15 years, Humphrey also served as pro bono counsel to the local chapter of Communities in Schools, Inc., a national dropout prevention organization, where he advised the board of directors and executive director.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Humphrey was an engineer at E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company where he served in various supervisory, financial and technical roles. He earned his J.D. from the University of Georgia, his M.B.A. from the University of South Carolina, and his B.S.E. from Duke University.
