Life Sciences Lifeline: Funding for Breast Cancer Research and Clinical Trials
Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer among women in the U.S. and in Indiana.
In 2024, an estimated 310,720 women and 2,790 men were newly diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. Indiana is already a noted Center of Excellence for cancer research and a bill currently moving through the state legislature would like to increase funding for breast cancer research and clinical trials performed here, which could help boost Indiana’s already impressive impact.
Our panel this month includes more information on Indiana HB 1299 – a bill for Funding Breast Cancer Research, a deep dive into the 30-plus year efforts of the Catherine Peachey Fund, and the latest on clinical trials and an early-stage research consortium in this space.
There will not be a Zoom option offered for this session.
Networking and lunch begin at 11:30 a.m. and the program begins at noon.
