William Leeder is of counsel in the Grand Rapids, Michigan office of Barnes & Thornburg. He is a member of the Litigation Department and concentrates his practice on complex commercial litigation.
He has represented a diverse array of clients including national pharmaceutical wholesalers, environmental consultants, national retailers and heavy equipment manufacturers in all aspects of commercial litigation in both state and federal courts.
William has successfully tried cases in the Western District of Michigan, the Eastern District of Michigan as well as Michigan state courts on a broad range of corporate and business litigation.
William has experience handling dealer termination litigation for large national manufacturers. He has also represented a myriad of national and regional financial institutions in fraudulent conveyance cases, judicial and non-judicial foreclosures, receiverships, collection actions and post-judgment supplementary proceedings. William also has experience defending product liability and breach of warranty cases for manufacturing clients. Recently, he successfully defended an environmental consulting firm against allegations of breach of contract, professional negligence and breach of fiduciary duty arising out of technical services provided to the owner and operator of a contaminated salvage yard in Texas.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, William practiced in Chicago, Illinois.
