Shigenobu Namiki, a native Japanese speaker from Tokyo, works with the firm’s intellectual property clients and attorneys to expand business development efforts and facilitate relationships with existing and potential clients doing business in the U.S. and overseas.

As business transaction advisor, Shigenobu consults with attorneys in the areas of IP, litigation and privacy law, providing focused insight and support. Specifically, he serves as a liaison between Japanese clients and firm attorneys to help advise clients in protecting their existing and emerging IP.

Shigenobu is also skilled in counseling and representing clients in a range of dispute resolution proceedings.

Before joining Barnes & Thornburg, Shigenobu was an associate with Anderson Mori & Tomotsune in Tokyo, and he also worked with the Chiba Prefecture.

Shigenobu is a Japanese bengoshi; he is not admitted to the practice of law in the United States.
