Sandra currently focuses her practice on discovery management and e-discovery, with an emphasis on discovery management of mass tort product liability claims. Her e-discovery experience includes managing and executing e-discovery strategies in matters relating to pharmaceutical and medical device mass torts, diligence/acquisitions, mergers, FCPA investigations, and EU and Asia data privacy law issues. Supplementing her e-discovery experience, Sandra also is trained in information governance principles. Sandra's discovery management experience includes preparing written discovery, preparing and defending corporate witnesses for deposition, and taking and defending depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
Complementing her discovery management and e-discovery practice, Sandra is an experienced general litigator, having managed commercial and product liability cases from case intake to jury verdict. She has resolved cases in favor of her clients in motions at the pleading stage and through dispositive motions. She has been part of trial teams in more than a dozen jury trials, and her trial experience includes arguing evidentiary issues during trial; preparing trial briefs, jury instructions and verdict forms; and preparing fact and expert witnesses for testimony.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Sandra was a senior consultant for an international e-discovery consulting firm and was in private practice with firms in Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles.
