Sandy focuses on the review of surveys and titles for commercial transactions. She is regularly involved in the tracking and plotting of legal descriptions, examination of documents affecting title, examination of the survey for additional burdens that may affect the property, and direct contact with title companies and surveyors to resolve title and survey issues. Sandy also assists with closings, reviewing title insurance policies, and following up with post-closing title and/or survey matters.
On many occasions, Sandy serves as a catalyst for progress by keeping the deal team on track and moving toward closing. A highly organized professional with meticulous attention to detail, Sandy has been involved in hundreds of millions of dollars of commercial real estate transactions over the course of her career. Her years of hard-earned experience make her an asset to any client team.
Prior to joining the firm, Sandy worked as a commercial real estate underwriter for Chicago Title Insurance Company, where her responsibilities included many of the same tasks she performs today. Her 20-plus years of underwriting experience enables her to evaluate potential risks to the client, and provides a unique understanding of how to effectively clear those risks, or to obtain affirmative coverage to protect the client’s interest.
Sandy approaches each transaction with a team attitude, knowing it takes many parties to finalize each transaction. Her friendly and professional manner helps create an environment where clients, title companies and surveyors look forward to working with her on transactions.
