With first-chair jury trial experience, Karina brings valuable courtroom insight to her practice. Her courtroom experience strengthens her strategic approach, enabling her to advocate effectively with the goal of delivering compelling results for her clients.
In addition to Karina’s practice defending business entities, she is experienced in representing defendants on appeal in Texas and Louisiana state courts. Karina has also served as advisory counsel for a Texas-based energy company challenging the constitutionality of proposed state legislation. She regularly prepares pleadings, discovery, evidentiary motions, discovery motions, and pretrial and dispositive motions, as well as conducts depositions of both parties, corporate representatives, and experts. Further, Karina manages complex eDiscovery issues, including coding, preservation, collection, and processing of documents.
Prior to joining the firm, Karina practiced at an AmLaw 200 firm in Dallas, where she defended individuals and businesses in a variety of civil litigation actions, including professional liability, deceptive trade practices, breach of contract, premises liability, and securities fraud, as well as real estate disputes and dram shop actions.
Known for her meticulous preparation, diverse practice, and dedication to client service, Karina is a trusted adviser in navigating complex and challenging disputes and protecting her clients’ interests.
Outside of work, Karina enjoys international travel, strength training, and spending time with her family, friends, and fluffy dog.
