Julie Veldman Harris delivers guidance and legal counsel on a wide range of healthcare and general corporate issues, with a focus on representing healthcare providers in their transactional and healthcare regulatory law needs. Julie counsels businesses and organizations in relation to a variety of healthcare services and providers, including pharmacy, wholesale drug distribution, provider practices and physician practice management companies and arrangements. Julie also serves as business counsel for healthcare and general corporate entities, including for contract drafting and negotiation, mergers, acquisitions, asset and stock transactions and joint ventures.
Julie advises clients on healthcare regulatory matters at the state and national levels. This experience includes HIPAA, healthcare provider restrictive covenants, corporate practice of medicine, scope of practice for licensed healthcare providers, and pharmacy and wholesale drug distributor regulatory compliance.
Julie frequently presents to business and legal organizations across the country on various legal issues associated with the healthcare industry. She has served as a keynote speaker and panelist on topics including noncompete drafting, strategy and enforcement; strategies for effective employment agreement negotiations; healthcare fraud and abuse; HIPAA and general data privacy and security; and effective corporate governance. She also provides training for those in medical residency programs throughout central Ohio.
