Eric takes a fresh approach to guiding his clients through the litigation process, having spent time as a deputy prosecutor before turning to private practice. He focuses his practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation, white collar and investigations, and financial and regulatory litigation, among others. He has been involved in multiple high-profile litigation matters and assists through the various stages of litigation.
Eric assists with pretrial matters such as motions, written and oral discovery, meeting with clients, and settlement negotiations. He also reviews investigative reports and prepares comprehensive initial case assessments to discuss claims and address plans for pursuing mediation, settlement or moving to and through trial.
Following his clerkship, Eric was a deputy prosecuting attorney for the Tippecanoe County Prosecutor’s Office. Eric represented the state of Indiana in initial hearings, pretrial conferences, evidentiary hearings, sentencing, probation revocation, and motions to suppress. He also filed charges and probable cause affidavits, and assisted at trial by drafting voir dire questions, preparing witnesses for testimony, and developing successful trial strategy. As an effective communicator, he understands the intricate details involved in presenting a convincing argument to juries and the bench, and takes pride in being able to communicate those details in an easy to understand manner.
Eric gained experience during law school as a law clerk with the Federal Defender Program in Chicago before his formal clerkship with the Honorable Margaret Robb at the Indiana Court of Appeals.
