Knowledgeable and a straight shooter, Misty Holcomb is a strategic adviser who has spent more than 20 years working in state government in Georgia. She helps clients spanning the film, video game and digital media industries, as well as those in healthcare, with managing local and state government relations.
Misty has a deep understanding of the inner workings of the Georgia legislature and state agencies. Having worked with the Georgia Association of Health Plans, the Georgia Department of Corrections, the Georgia State Senate Press Office, the Governor’s Floor Leader’s Office, the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, and the Georgia General Assembly, she helps clients understand how regulatory matters, tax regulations, and government policies affect their business.
Working closely with leaders in Georgia’s growing entertainment industry, Misty knows the effects that legislation, tax incentives and appropriate financing vehicles have on a successful economic development climate. She spends time learning about clients’ businesses and processes to advocate for and against particular legislation and regulations.
Misty played a key role in creating the Georgia Studio & Infrastructure Alliance (GSIA), whose key mission is to share stories about Georgians building careers, changing their lives and moving toward long-term stability of the state’s film and television industry.
In the healthcare realm, Misty focuses her work on helping clients protect health information and safeguard medical records. She works closely with independent physicians across the state, and has helped create an association dedicated to providing a unified voice for independent physicians to address and monitor issues affecting them and their practices.
Outside of the firm, Misty is an actor with People Store Talent Agency, and enjoys opportunities to perform with Sketchworks Theatre, Inc.
