Michael D. Mustard is of counsel in the Fort Wayne office of Barnes & Thornburg. Michael is a member of the firm's Corporate Department, where he focuses his practice on entity formation, commercial lending, commercial litigation, real estate and business acquisitions.
In practice for more than 30 years, Michael has represented a variety of corporate clients, including lenders and borrowers in the structuring, documenting and closing of various commercial loan and SBA 504 transactions, as well as sellers and buyers alike in asset transactions involving manufacturing facilities and equipment in Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Washington. He has also advised the formation and structuring of various types of business entities, matters related to ongoing business issues, and has provided litigation support in commercial litigation matters.
Michael is a Certified Closing Attorney for U.S. Small Business Administration Section 504 loan. Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg he was with the firm of Fort Wayne firm Hunt Suedhoff Kalamaros LLP.
He has served as an attorney for the Fort Wayne/Allen County Airport Authority and also as an attorney for the Community Development Corporation of Fort Wayne.
