Ladene I. Mendoza is an associate in the Indianapolis office of Barnes & Thornburg and a member of the Litigation Department.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg full-time, Ladene served as a summer associate in the firm's Indianapolis office. She also gained substantial legal experience as an extern for the in-house corporate counsel of Eli Lilly and Company. Previously, she has served as an intern for the Marion County Prosecutor's Office and as a summer law clerk in the Office of the Indiana Attorney General, where she was involved with drafting judicial motions, legal memorandums, and court orders by collaborating with multiple deputy attorneys general.
During law school, Ladene was the president of the Hispanic Law Society; a research assistant to Professor Frank Sullivan, Jr., a retired Indiana Supreme Court Justice; member of the Black Law Students Association; and a student member of the Indianapolis American Inn of Court.
She also served as an ambassador for the Office of Admissions, a mentor in the IU-McKinney mentor program, and co-chair of the 4th Annual Diversity Dinner Committee, which received the student organization award for 'Best Collaboration of the Year.' As a first generation American and college student, Ladene is passionate about mentoring and speaking to minority students about education.
