As lead trial counsel and national counsel, Kevin advocates for the resolution of his clients’ most significant cases in state and federal courts across the country.

Kevin represents clients in the full spectrum of business disputes, with deep experience leading large-scale litigation. He leads litigation teams in consumer class actions, product liability and toxic torts, labor and employment litigation, and multidistrict litigation. He also advises on contract disputes, partnership and fiduciary litigation, and business torts. His decades-long experience in trying cases to verdict includes representing both plaintiffs and defendants in jury trials, bench trials and arbitrations.

Representing clients across many industries, Kevin advocates for major players in the hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, technology and telecommunications, consumer products, retail and chemical compounds fields, among others.

His experience in high-profile cases includes his representation of a preeminent amusement park owner and operator in a multimillion-dollar product liability jury trial, recognized as one of the top defense verdicts of the year by The National Law Journal. Kevin also was trial counsel for a Silicon Valley software executive defendant in a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission enforcement action alleging securities and accounting fraud. The Daily Journal deemed it one of the annual top 10 defense verdicts in California.

EXPERIENCE

Representative trial experience:

  • Trial counsel for a preeminent amusement park owner and operator during a six-week jury trial in a multimillion dollar product liability action in which the plaintiff alleged that he suffered permanent neurological injuries and disability as a result of riding a roller coaster owned and operated by the client. The case was named one of the annual top defense verdicts in the country by The National Law Journal.
  • Trial counsel for a Silicon Valley software executive defendant in an SEC enforcement action for securities and accounting fraud. The SEC alleged that the executive authorized fraudulent sales transactions and caused his company to improperly recognize tens of millions of dollars in revenue to inflate the stock price. The Daily Journal deemed it one of the annual top 10 defense verdicts in California.
