Jonathan has assisted a number of high profile U.S. and international clients in a wide range of matters including production funds, joint ventures and tax advantaged financings as well as co financings and output agreements and the acquisition and disposition of film and media content. He has also worked very closely with a number of licensors of specialized rights including, among other things, life rights, deceased celebrity rights, comic books and graphic novels and reality show format rights. Jonathan also has experience with live events, wireless content (including iPhone and Android apps), reality television and web series.
After graduating first in his class in law school, Jonathan joined the Wall Street law firm Shearman & Sterling where he practiced in the banking and corporate finance area. He was later corporate counsel to Interplay Productions, a developer, publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment software, as well as a lawyer for several years in the entertainment and media departments at the Los Angeles offices of Loeb & Loeb and Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld.
