Since joining Barnes & Thornburg in 2008, Jonathan D. Bailey has grown his career alongside the growth of the firm. As Interim Chief Human Resources Officer, Jonathan supports any conversation where HR is invited to the table.
While leading HR operations, Jonathan provides strategic oversight and management in the areas of employee relations, coaching and development, staff talent acquisition, compensation benchmarking and analysis, evaluations and assessments, and accommodations requests. Additionally, he works with department leadership to strategize the best approach on a variety of employee-related fronts. With an eye toward process improvement, Jonathan enjoys observing workflow, understanding nuances and providing direction to improve efficiency.
Jonathan started his journey at the firm in the accounting department as a conflicts systems assistant. In 2013, he moved into the HR department, where he previously served as an assistant, manager and director.
Jonathan is driven by integrity, honesty and humor. He genuinely enjoys getting to know people, their driving forces, experiences and plans. Jonathan is happily married to his former elementary school enemy and is most proud of being Pops to his two children.
