Eric’s experience includes the resolution of contractual disputes and business torts, partnership and fiduciary litigation, consumer class action defense, product liability defense, and warranty claims. He litigates matters for companies in various industries, including construction, entertainment, higher education, real estate, and recreational vehicles. He has an active trial practice and has served as trial counsel in numerous jury trials, bench trials, and arbitrations.
In addition to his ability to aggressively advocate for his clients, Eric focuses on working with his clients to guide them through the litigation process – reviewing every angle to help set up a roadmap for success. He develops targeted litigation and negotiation strategies, conducts investigations and discovery, and efficiently and effectively utilizes associates and paralegals.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Eric was with a national law firm and an international law firm, practicing in both Atlanta and Los Angeles.
Eric has been active in a range of nonprofit organizations dedicated to furthering justice. In 2022, Eric was selected by the Daily Report as one of three finalists for “Attorney of the Year.” In 2019, Eric was presented with a national award given by the Anti-Defamation League honoring outstanding professionals for leadership in the fight against anti-Semitism, racism, and all forms of prejudice. In 2016, Eric was presented with the Georgia Appleseed Center for Law and Justice’s “Good Apple Award,” which recognized his pro bono efforts in facilitating the establishment of a program that provides representation to foster children facing long-term suspensions in an effort to combat the school-to-prison pipeline.

- Secured a jury verdict in federal court for damages and payment of attorneys’ fees for client against former employer for breach of fiduciary duty, invasion of privacy, fraudulent nondisclosure, and negligence
- Helped secure a jury verdict for a large privately held company in a dispute over the terms and conditions of the lease for its corporate headquarters
- Defeated class certification by current and former students at a national for-profit university who alleged various state law claims for fraud and negligent misrepresentation

- After a one-month bench trial, forced dissolution of a California limited partnership on behalf of its general and limited partners
- Helped secure a seven-figure jury verdict for a public company that sued the former president of its subsidiary for breach of fiduciary duty and fraud
- Successfully defended a large global language services provider in AAA Commercial Arbitration against claims of breach of contract and fraud in which client was facing liability for compensatory damages, plus punitive damages and attorneys’ fees, amounting to a six-figure award
