OVERVIEW

Attentive and detail-oriented, Cristina Alma McNeiley is a bilingual litigator who devotes herself to thoroughly researching case law, statutes, and relevant information to provide the most targeted representation – regardless of the dispute at hand – for her clients.

Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Cristina honed her skills as a research assistant at Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she assisted in research related to International Law and Women’s citizenship and edited articles that published by the American Journal of Legal History. She is equally skilled in drafting a range of motions, memos, and briefs for her clients.

Cristina is disciplined, confident and dependable, and she is also compassionate and a clear communicator. These attributes help her to achieve her goal of helping clients with a wide variety of disputes and legal solutions.

While in law school, Cristina was a judicial extern for the Hon. Judge Ruben Castillo for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She wrote two judicial opinions that were published on Westlaw.

Cristina is invested in promoting diversity and inclusion. To that end, she started in undergrad and continued on in law school by serving on the Midwest regional board of the National Black Law Students Association, was a member of the Hispanic Latino Law Student Association, and was the director of diversity and inclusion for her student government association. Cristina was also a Barnes & Thornburg Diversity Scholar in 2019.

Cristina is not regularly admitted to practice in the local courts of Illinois.
