She is valued by clients and colleagues alike for her strong case management skills and ability to handle difficult, high-stakes matters.
Alex’s white collar and European services practice includes defending against government investigations, conducting internal investigations, and advising on export control and foreign bribery compliance matters.
Alex is serving on the team assisting the Special Compliance Coordinator appointed by the U.S. Department of Commerce to monitor, assess, and report on the export control compliance of a major Chinese telecommunications company. Previously, she was a member of the team appointed by the U.S. Department of Justice to monitor a multinational medical device manufacturer and distributor, with operations in the U.S. and throughout Latin America.
With respect to civil litigation, Alex represents plaintiffs and defendants involved in commercial, banking, securities, and product liability disputes in state and federal courts across the country.

Prior to joining the firm, Alex worked at the boutique litigation law firm of Grais & Ellsworth LLP in New York City.
Outside of her practice, Alex devotes a significant amount of her time to the pro bono work. She currently represents the mother of a man who was fatally shot by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies in a federal civil rights case. In addition, she successfully secured asylum for LGBT clients from Central America, after conducting all phases of litigation, including trial. And Alex employs her Spanish language skills to conduct all meetings in her clients’ native language.
