In addition, A.J. regularly counsels healthcare companies – ranging from individual physician-owned entities to large nonprofit healthcare systems – on healthcare fraud and abuse matters related to alleged violations under the False Claims Act (FCA), Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS), the Stark Law, and Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement rules.
Further A.J. is adept at coordinating discovery in cases with complex subject matter, including coordinating large document reviews and supervising team members in such work.
A.J. is a knowledgeable lawyer who is open to new challenges, and is therefore well suited to practice as a healthcare attorney and litigator in the ever-changing and evolving healthcare field.
A.J. has an active and wide-ranging pro bono practice, having served as a guardian ad litem in family court proceedings, helped prepare immigration asylum applications, and drafted amici briefing in support of voting rights.
During law school, A.J. served as a legal intern with the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division Voting Section.
Outside of their practice, A.J. is an avid traveler and adventurer who enjoys hiking – their favorite spot being Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.
