ATLANTA –The American Lawyer has recognized Barnes & Thornburg partner, Stephen Weizenecker, as a 2022 South Trailblazer. The award recognizes professionals in the South who “are agents of change in their respective practice areas.”
Weizenecker was selected in recognition of his work in Georgia entertainment industry including his multi-year advocacy helping to shape the policy for Georgia film, esports, music and videogame tax credits and for his collaboration with the Georgia Film Academy to create one of the most effective workforce development programs in the industry.
An entertainment lawyer in the Atlanta office, Weizenecker has been with the firm for nearly a decade. His practice primarily focuses on production incentives and financing for film, television, and video game clients. He also serves as the vice chair of the Georgia Governor’s Advisory Commission on Film, Music and Digital Entertainment.
