MINNEAPOLIS – Barnes & Thornburg announced today that Felicia Boyd has received the International Trademark Association (INTA) 2018 Volunteer Service Award for the Advancement of Committee or Subcommittee Objectives.
INTA cited Boyd for her work on its Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Committee, where she serves as chair of the Europe, Middle East, and Africa Subcommittee. She has helped to develop and promote various mediation education programs around the world, including organizing a roundtable in Nigeria.
“Through Ms. Boyd’s guidance, the ADR Committee has been able to expand its education programs both geographically and substantively. Her time and efforts go a long way in raising the visibility of mediation as well as INTA’s Panel of Trademark Mediators, to the benefit of all involved,” said INTA President Tish Berard.
Boyd received the award in November during INTA’s 2018 Leadership Meeting. “I am completely surprised by this award and could not be more honored,” Boyd said. “I’ve worked with INTA for more than two decades, and my work on the ADR Committee has been rewarding professionally and personally. I hope that through my work on the committee I can be an active and positive voice for INTA and ADR.”

A former co-chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Department, Boyd’s experience spans several industries, including medical devices, software, music, pharmaceuticals and manufactured goods.
She also provides arbitration services as a Fellow of the CIArb (Chartered Institute of Arbitrators). She is a member of LCIA (The London Court of International Arbitration), member of ArbitralWomen and a commercial litigation panel member of the American Arbitration Association.
