Program Overview
Employees Gone Wild!
Employees, from the most junior to the CEO, occasionally act unpredictably, imprudently and bizarrely. When employees' antics make news, immediate personnel actions may be warranted and criminal prosecution may result. In certain situations, employee conduct may affect a company's stock price or even jeopardize its existence. An interdisciplinary panel examines ten real-life situations where employees' actions have created serious employment, criminal and public relations problems. Learn from the mistakes of others!
Social Media - They Did What?!
As social media explodes and new technologies continue to develop, some of the effects are positive and others create big headaches for in-house counsel and Human Resources professionals. This session will discuss key issues employers must consider when they adopt the new technologies or utilize social media. We will explore how companies can avoid the ever-present pitfalls of social media and changing technologies while simultaneously deriving the benefits from these irreversible technological developments.
