What: Indiana Environmental Management Conference

Dave Gillay of Barnes & Thornburg LLP's Indianapolis office and a member of the firm's Environmental Law Department will participate in a panel discussion on "Vapor Long-Term Strategy" at 11 a.m. on Oct. 16. The panel is taking place as part of the Indiana Chamber and IDEM's Indiana Environmental Management Conference.

Panel Description: The long-term monitoring requirements within the EPA’s final Subsurface Vapor Intrusion guidance includes the development of Institutional Control Implementation and Assurance Plans (ICIAP) in conjunction with long term stewardship (LTS) ensuring that cleanups remain protective of human health. Learn about the legal mechanisms to take advantage of these requirements and incorporate them into unique closure strategies. In addition, to support the closure strategy, learn about an innovative way to incorporate a monitoring program that provides real-time data of a mitigation system’s performance and sub-slab pressures that is easily accessible remotely and available in real-time via a simple internet connection.
