Legal Advice re: Leases & Other Real Estate Matters for Nonprofits

Laing Akers of the Columbus office, along with in-house counsel from American Cancer Society, Exel and Nationwide Insurance in Columbus, presented a legal education program to Central Ohio nonprofit executives on "Legal Advice re: Leases & Other Real Estate Matters for Nonprofits" on April 29. Laing focused on key legal terms used in leases. The presentation was followed by pro bono advice sessions involving volunteer lawyers from in-house legal departments and certain agencies. The program is one of a continuing series of events in the firm's partnership with the Central Ohio Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel, the Corporate Pro Bono Institute and the United Way of Central Ohio.
