Ethics: Disagreeing Without Being Disagreeable: The Case for Civility

On Aug. 24, Deb Thorne of the Chicago office spoke at the Southwest Bankruptcy Conference held in Incline Village, Nev. Deb participated in the panel discussion titled “Ethics: Disagreeing Without Being Disagreeable: The Case for Civility.” Deb is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Civility Task Force, comprised of insolvency professionals, including practitioners, judges and academics. The Task Force recently drafted a report on standards of professional courtesy and conduct as a tool to promote professionalism in the insolvency field.
