The firm's Higher Education Practice Group (HEPG) hosted a "Current Legal Issues in Higher Education" workshop on Sept. 16 for firm client Independent Colleges of Indiana (ICI), the umbrella organization for all 31 of Indiana's private colleges and universities. The faculty consisted of Damon Leichty of the South Bend office on "Public Access to Campus Police Records;" Mike Paton of the Indianapolis office on "Student Health Plans: Rate Parity/Other ACA Issues;" and John Maley of the Indianapolis office on "Same Sex Marriage: Housing and Employment Matters." Whitney Caudill of firm client Manchester University presented on "Title IX and Campus Sexual Violence" with support from Mark Scudder of the Fort Wayne office. Emcee duties were handled by Bill Moreau of the Indianapolis and Washington, D.C., offices, who leads HEPG. The seminar was attended by 70 college presidents, senior administrators and general counsel.
