A Tour of the Historic Raleigh City Cemetery
DATE
Join Barnes & Thornburg as we commemorate Women's Equality Day and the proclamation of Aug. 30 as Anna Julia Cooper Day.
Anna Julia Cooper was the fourth African-American woman to receive a PhD, a Black liberation activist, and one of the most prominent African-American scholars in U.S. history.
The event will begin with light snacks and drinks followed by two rotating presentations at All Saints Chapel and docent-led tours of City Cemetery, where Anna is buried. Guests and children are welcome for this historically rich experience.
