The Stark Law: Help Me Understand!

On Oct. 7, Bob Wade presented to the Health Care Compliance Association’s Hawaii Regional Conference. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the conference was held virtually, which still provided a national draw. The presentation was “The Stark Law: Help Me Understand!” Bob gave a general overview regarding the legal and operational aspects of the Stark Law. The main topics provided details on how to understand the Stark Law basics to identify issues, operationalized the Stark Law within an organization, and helped identify issues and guidance on resolving issues internally or through self-disclosure.
