Utility Mergers and Acquisitions

We have handled regulatory and appellate proceedings relating to changes in control through mergers and acquisitions at the public utility holding company level and represented the utility in the landmark Indiana Supreme Court proceeding determining the scope of IURC jurisdiction over mergers and acquisitions. We also handled the merger of Indiana Energy, Inc. and SIGCORP, Inc. into Vectren Corporation; and the mergers of Northwest Indiana Water Company, United Water Indiana, Inc. and United Water West Lafayette, Inc. into Indiana-American Water Company, Inc.
