Tony is a seasoned employment litigation attorney with a national practice, representing employers from pre-litigation counseling through trial and appeal, handling matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, wrongful termination, wage and hour, restrictive covenants, and other complex workplace claims. He is known for combining thoughtful, business-focused advice with a trial-ready approach to litigation.

In addition to his active litigation practice, Tony counsels employers on day-to-day employment matters as well as complex and sensitive workplace issues, including employment policies and contracts, executive employment matters, investigations, workplace accommodations, discipline and termination, restrictive covenants, wage and hour compliance, and employment-related aspects of corporate transactions.

Earlier in his career, Tony was a partner at two large law firms in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Most recently, he served as in-house counsel for a Fortune 500 publicly traded company, working directly with executive leadership and human resource professionals to address workforce issues and manage legal risk. That experience provides him with an understanding of the challenges facing business leaders and the importance of providing advice that is not only legally sound, but also practical, timely, and aligned with business objectives.
