Tom's ESOP practice covers the full lifecycle of ESOP companies, including advising plan sponsors in connection with the design and implementation of leveraged and non-leveraged ESOPs ongoing plan administration and the sale of ESOP companies.
In addition to his ESOPs practice, Tom regularly advises clients on the design and implementation of qualified and nonqualified retirement defined contribution and defined benefit plans, including) 403(b), 457(b) and 457(f) plans sponsored by nonprofit employers. He also counsels group health plan sponsors on compliance with HIPAA, COBRA, and Affordable Care Act mandates.
Earlier in his career, Tom served as staff counsel at a third-party administrator of defined contribution and defined benefit plans, where he gained early experience in employee benefits and ERISA compliance matters.
