My summer experience at Barnes & Thornburg prepared me to be a successful first-year associate and allowed me to explore my interests in the law. Barnes & Thornburg attorneys were very generous with their time and talents, providing training, mentoring and career advice. Many attorneys made time to get lunch with me to discuss their practices and my areas of interests. This close interaction gave me the opportunity to work on everything from a pro bono criminal appeal to legal research to developing litigation strategy for a Fortune 100 client. My experience as a summer associate allowed me to build relationships, learn and practice valuable skills, and hit the ground running as a first-year associate.
