Commercial litigator Steve Inman is appreciated for his ability to navigate and resolve complex insurance coverage disputes.

Steve counsels corporate clients on a wide variety of commercial litigation matters, including insurance coverage matters, insurer bad faith, broker malpractice, contract disputes, consumer protection laws and business torts such as unfair competition, breach of fiduciary duty and consumer fraud.

Steve has deep experience representing clients in defending coverage claims involving insurer bad faith, intellectual property matters, directors and officers liability, employment matters, natural disasters, environmental clean-ups, construction matters and political risk matters. He also has experience litigating insurance broker malpractice claims, multidistrict intellectual property matters and contract disputes.

Additionally, Steve has managed large-scale electronic discovery projects for multidistrict patent and antitrust litigation, conducted significant internal investigations involving the SEC, DOJ and OSHA, drafted internal document management and retention policies, reviewed risk management programs and insurance policies, and managed due diligence for corporate transactions and real estate acquisitions.

Steve has also authored a number of publications on a range of insurance recovery topics, including insurer obligations to policyholders, coverage for trademark infringement under advertising injury coverage grants, coverage for patent infringement lawsuits, and political risk coverage.

Prior to joining the firm, Steve worked in-house for a travel and resort company and provided counsel regarding insurance, contract, real estate, corporate governance, copyright and trademark, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), construction and transactional matters, as well as matters involving consumer protection laws such as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Do Not Call statutes, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Vacation Ownership and Timeshare Act.
