With a focus on IP litigation, Rick initiates court filings, assists attorneys and clients through the litigation discovery process, and provides a full spectrum of trial management services including trial preparation logistics and support services negotiations. Additionally, he conducts case status monitoring and performs research as needed.
Rick previously served as a senior intellectual property paralegal with an AmLaw 200 firm, where he supported attorneys and clients through the litigation process and worked particularly in pharmaceutical Hatch-Waxman patent litigation.
Notably, Rick contributed to research initiatives and participated in administrative hearings on behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy for the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP). He also contributed to the success of a landmark corporate merger by participating in responses and mass document distributions to U.S. Department of Justice requests (pursuant to Hart-Scott-Rodino Act).
He is a leader and mentor, and has participated in new associate litigation training presentations, as well as developed and directed various paralegal internship programs. Rick also served during the Gulf War as a member of the U.S. Naval Construction Battalion.
