Peter’s practice was focused on mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions. He represented numerous clients as lead counsel for purchases and sales of businesses that collectively totaled billions of dollars in value of leveraged and management-led buyouts over the course of his decades-long career. In addition to his M&A work, Peter advised on a variety of corporate law matters, particularly for middle market companies that are family-owned or privately held. He also organized corporate, partnership and limited liability companies, either as start-up businesses or as joint ventures, and represented these companies in equity fundings.
In the area of commercial lending and finance, Peter represented lenders and borrowers in various secured and unsecured financings. He successfully negotiated and closed loans that ranged in size from $10 million to $150 million, as well as rendered opinion letters related to multistate lending transactions.
In addition, Peter assisted businesses and other clients with the purchase, sale, development and financing of real estate. He negotiated and closed complex deals involving multiple parties and properties located in a number of states.
Valued by clients and colleagues alike for his straightforward approach to problem-solving, Peter sought to be accessible and diligent, as well as committed to helping clients achieve their business objectives. A deal veteran, Peter sought to understand every facet of the deal at hand, which allowed him to help anticipate and mitigate problems while remaining focused on the end result.
