Working closely with the firm’s attorneys, D'Arcy, senior advisor for entertainment contracts, draws upon his extensive background in film production and distribution to assist in entertainment finance transactions of all sizes and levels of complexity for an array of firm clients. In addition, he has also developed relationships with key industry players and works with entertainment partners in strategizing and cultivating key potential deals for clients.
D’Arcy acts as a liaison to clients ranging from major bankers to major slate and investment financiers in the entertainment industry. He works with key finance and international distribution sales executives on the distribution and sales activities utilized to collateralize the production finance of motion picture films and television series.
Prior to Barnes & Thornburg, D’Arcy served as president of production and distribution for Arcadia Film Group, a production and distribution company that handled the worldwide distribution and production of motion picture film properties. In that capacity, D’Arcy managed motion picture film production, acquisitions and distribution in all forms of media, including theatrical, video and television distribution and marketing.
Moreover, D’Arcy served as a senior sales executive at J&M Entertainment, a London-based production and distribution company, and as senior vice president of The Kushner-Locke Company, a mini-major studio. D'Arcy also worked for a Los Angeles area law practice prior to joining the firm.
