Debi L. Mitchell is the director of office operations at Barnes & Thornburg, where she oversees the firm's facilities and support services needs. Included in these duties are setting and implementing firm-wide polices concerning operational matters, including document management and disaster recovery, approving firm-wide operational contracts and agreements, and managing the Indianapolis facility on a day-to-day basis.
Before joining the firm in 2003, Debi was senior vice president of project management for a national auto finance company. She was responsible for outsourcing and new program development. In other capacities, she managed and monitored the company’s credit bureau, coordinated building renovations, and managed the firm’s telecommunications. Additional experience includes work with a community bank, where she managed telecommunications, records and purchasing.
Debi earned a B.A. with honors in sociology and theatre from Indiana University. She is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators, ARMA International and the Midwest Contingency Planners. She is a volunteer for St. Vincent De Paul.
