Michael's practice also included union arbitrations; unfair labor practice charge defense; workforce reorganizations and reductions; and strikes and labor disputes. Michael also had extensive experience in counseling businesses in the labor and employment law aspects of mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and plant closings. His work has included analysis of union successorship; union and 'union-free' options; separation, consolidation, and relocation of bargaining units; and renegotiation of labor contracts in the contexts of mergers and acquisitions of various forms. Michael had experience in representing employers in connection with union organizing, and devotes a significant part of his practice to supervisor and manager training, and organizational planning and assessment.
