In addition to Karina’s practice defending business entities in a variety claims and actions, she is experienced in representing defendants on appeal in Texas and Louisiana state courts. Karina has served as advisory counsel for a Texas-based energy company challenging the constitutionality of proposed legislation in Texas. She regularly prepares pleadings, discovery, evidentiary motions, discovery motions, and pretrial and dispositive motions, as well as conducts depositions of both parties, corporate representatives, and experts. Further, Karina manages complex eDiscovery issues, including coding, preservation, collection, and processing of documents.
Prior to joining the firm, Karina practiced at an AmLaw 200 firm in Dallas, where she defended individuals and businesses in a variety of civil litigation actions, including professional liability, deceptive trade practices, breach of contract, premises liability, and securities fraud, as well as real estate disputes and dram shop actions.
Clients benefit from Karina’s diverse practice, which allows her to provide a tailored perspective and pursue a rigorous case strategy throughout the litigation life cycle. Her goal is to help her clients achieve a resolution that efficiently meets their needs.
In her free time, Karina enjoys traveling internationally, strength training, and spending time with family and friends.
