With more than four decades of honed experience, Michael Mustard focuses his practice on entity formation, day-to-day business operational matters and concerns, commercial lending, commercial litigation, real estate, and business acquisitions. Michael has the ability to think outside the box in crafting solutions to matters affecting businesses large, small and in between, in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Michael has represented a variety of corporate clients, including lenders and borrowers in the structuring, documenting and closing of various commercial loan and SBA 504 transactions. He also guides sellers and buyers through asset transactions involving manufacturing facilities and equipment in Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi and Washington.
In addition, Michael advises clients on the formation and structuring of various types of business entities, as well as on matters related to ongoing business issues. He also provides litigation support in commercial litigation matters.
Notably, Michael is a Certified Closing Attorney for U.S. Small Business Administration Section 504 loan. Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, he was with the Fort Wayne firm Hunt Suedhoff Kalamaros LLP. He also worked as an attorney for the Fort Wayne/Allen County Airport Authority and for the Community Development Corporation of Fort Wayne.
