Matthew has secured significant recoveries for clients in breach of contract and insurance coverage matters and has successfully defended clients in multimillion-dollar contract disputes. In addition to his litigation practice, he advises clients on risk management issues, including evaluating insurance programs and identifying potential gaps in coverage.

Prior to attending law school, Matthew served as a combat infantryman in the U.S. Army, deploying to Iraq in 2003 with the 4th Infantry Division. He remains deeply committed to the military veteran community and has played instrumental roles in creating and leading military and veterans’ affairs committees within local civic organizations. Matthew created the first endowed scholarship for military veterans at the University of Florida Levin College of Law and is a life member of both the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). He is accredited Veterans Affairs (VA) attorney and assists veterans at no cost to secure their disability benefits.

Matthew previously served as a law clerk to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, where he gained experience with complex federal appellate matters.
