Maggi Lazarus

As the vice chair of the Federal Relations practice group, Maggi is skilled at communicating complex public policy support for legislative positions and understanding the interplay between politics and policy. During her time in Washington, D.C., Maggi has built strong professional relationships with offices whose jurisdictions and work center on congressional Ways and Means, Finance, and Judiciary Committees.

Diligent and detail-oriented, Maggi has experience building and managing single-issue coalitions that efficiently and effectively organize the efforts of companies, trade associations, and interest groups to coordinate messaging and achieve specific legislative goals. Regarding this approach to issue advocacy, she offers clients substantial value in public policy and media efforts.

Maggi brings to her legislative practice a background in corporate litigation, having spent the first six years of her career representing clients in a broad range of commercial lawsuits, including antitrust, RICO, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, tax controversies, and federal and state discrimination claims. Thus, she more readily understands and appreciates the background, needs, and application of business initiatives on Capitol Hill and before federal regulatory agencies.
